Rachael & Jaron’s Wedding in Wellington
“You were so great and we still can’t stop watching it haha… thanks again”
In late January I was invited to attend and capture Rachel and Jaron’s Wedding in Wellington, Rachael and her bridesmaids got ready in town at the QT Hotel. Their ceremony was on the lawn of their backyard and the reception was at Shed 5 on Queens Wharf. It was a stunning day with many touching moments and beautiful sights.
I created two films to commemorate the day, a Spoken Moments video to include sentiments from the Ceremony, Vows and Speeches, and a Next Day Film.
Watch the Spoken Moments above and the Next Day Film at bottom of the page.
The Wedding Day
Moments from the Film, Quotes from the Ceremony and Speeches
“The key to love is understanding, the ability to comprehend not only the spoken word, but those unspoken gestures. The key to love is sharing, facing your good fortunes as well as the bad together.”
That Morning
That Afternoon
“It is no casual thing to be joined in marriage, to bind your happiness to that of another and to make a commitment of lifelong partnership. But in doing so you discover the true meaning of life and of each other. Today is a celebration. It is a celebration of love, of commitment, of friendship, of whanau and of course of Jaron and Rach.”
“I remember the journey we’ve been on, it’s first dates, second dates and thousands of date nights more. It’s the travel, the taste of it, the laughing till we’re sore. It’s drinks on Friday, kids on Saturday and curling up on Sunday.”
“Jaron and Rach, by getting married today, you’re not only gaining a lifelong partner, but a forever hand to hold. A lifetime of love, of laughs, of endless hugs, of more disagreements than you ever thought possible and a brand new beginning for your family. And so, without further ado, it is my very great pleasure to get you started on this next chapter by now pronouncing you husband and wife. You may now kiss your bride.”
That Evening
“Having been an impatient person my whole life, I never really understood that message, that good things take time. Until today.
Because standing here in front of our family and friends at 42 years old, I can tell you that life does not get any better than this.”
